  • When do you think we'll have a black/female/gay/atheist president?


    When do you think we'll have a president of the U.S. that has one of the following classifications, if at all?



    • Black
    • Female
    • Gay
    • Atheist

    Rank the classification in the order in which you think it will happen (1= happens first) and maybe add a guess as to when you could foresee it happening.



    1. Woman president (2012) I think Hillary Clinton might have a shot.
    2. Atheist president (2020+) With the growing trend away from religion and the demand for separation of church and state, it's definitely possible I think.
    3. Black president (2028+...or never) We all know there will NEVER be an Asian U.S. president.  
    4. Gay president (3000+....never)

    - amendment 15th > 19th
    - a number of black politicians > women politicians

    atheist > black > female = gay

    i'll be the next korean american female democrat president of the united states and i will spread peace, love, and ice cream all over the world. yesh. haha

  • there will definetly be a female president before a black president- unless of course were talking about a black female. and what about our latino brothers and sisters? the possiblity that a latino would become president is so far from possibe that they were not even listed in your posting- grr...

  • i think 2020 is too soon for an atheist president. belief in God prob makes ppl think that person has all the right morals. or close to...it's been so traditional that a president be a church-going type of person. In God we trust. the swearing in court on the Bible. there are so many more ppl that believe in God than not that i reallie doubt ppl or enough ppl would be down for a president who doesn't believe in God. i think colin powell has a better shot at becoming president than an atheist.

    i would like to think women have a good chance to be president but i doubt this also. only in the US are feminine rights and feminism such a big thing. not in countries elsewhere. japan, the middle east, germany, watever. im sure these countries would scoff at the idea of a woman running the US. we woudlnt get respect for and fear of our nation if a woman ran president. all foreign policy would change. thats wat i think at least. im sure there are great powerful smart women in the navy and all that too but i dun think the nation as a whole would feel comfortable wid a woman deciding to declare war. and her joint chiefs of staff would def be telling her everything to do. as much as im down for feminine rights, it wont happen anytime soon. sandra day o connor, janet reno, madeline albright - theyve proven that women can be just as powerful and intelligent and def have the capability (cept madeline albright since she wasnt born in US). hilary clinton does have a great shot but i jus dont see it. yea it can happen but unlikely. women governors yes, women presidents no.

  • woman president is likely in the near future.. within the decade i'd say. however the remaining choices will never happen because there is still the bread & butter regions of america that see america as a white, anglo-saxon protestant, straight person's land.

Gay no fuckin way...ummmm never, Atheist...I would vote for one in a heart beat...I am not atheist.....but makes tons of sense in politics..........however no chance with the jackwad americans..........gays can never get over till religion is down played.....so both never a chance.......
