FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hey everyone,
Just wanted to drop in real quick and say hi to all from Thailand where the new wifey and I are spending our honeymoon. We want to thank all our family and friends who were able to come to our wedding and be a part of our celebration. The trip here took like 26 hours and 3 different flights...I wanted to kill myself.
Anyways, it's hot as balls here and I think I'm already sunburnt (which rarely ever happens since I have dark skin). We'll be sure to post a ton of pics when we get back.
P.S. Stupid internet cafes don't have Warcraft on any of the comps! WTF!?!?
Must resist the urge....*CLICK* *CLICK* *CLICK* I miss you Mike Choi! HAHA
Four years of working fulltime and taking classes at night are officially over. I finally graduated law school today. Now I just have to hang in there for 2 more months and pass the NY and NJ bar exams.
Have you ever looked at the world we currently live in and thought to yourself, "Wow, what a fucked up place"? It's 2006 and there is nothing to suggest there will ever be peace in this world. We're involved in a "war" in Iraq that seems to have no end in sight. Civil war is on the verge of breaking out there. The country is divided between the right wing fundamentalist Republicans and the left wing liberal hippy Democrats. Bush's approval rating is at an all time low and public opinion of the government seems to be dropping. Africa is just a clusterfuck of tribes that have been killing each other for years. With the Hamas now in control, the situation between the Israelis and Palestinians looks grim.
Advances in technology aside, are we really any better off today than we were 2000 years ago? We continue to fight and kill each other...all for what? To prove that we're right and someone else is wrong?
Over years, you've seen movies/TV shows depicting government corruption and conspiracies, whether it be "24", "Clear and Present Danger", "Lord of War", "Manchurian Candidate". etc. While the purpose of these works is for entertainment, is the content within them really that far fetched and implausible in the real world?
You can be the biggest patriot in the country, but you can't deny that the U.S. has been involved in some questionable activity. Fact of the matter is, regardless of what country you're from, what religion you believe in, what culture you practice, all of our hands are dirty to some degree. The only difference is how well you can justify yourself to others. There is a saying that "power leads to corruption" and I'm inclined to agree.
Not to sound like a religious fundamentalist or anything, but sometimes I think what this world needs is for God to come down and basically set everyone straight. Strike fear into the hearts of men. Turn to the muslim extremists and say "how dare you kill innocent people in MY name?!?" Turn to the Israelis and Palestinians and say "that land you guys are fighting over belongs to ME! You either learn to peacefully co-exist or you wont exist at all" You know how we have such overcrowded prisons? Why not just eliminate those who are beyond rehabilitation or remorse? The criminal justice system is structured around trying to prove someone's innocence or guilt which means the TRUTH isn't always the outcome. But what if you knew for a fact whether someone was innocent or guilty?
There is so much bullshit and corruption in this world, it's sickening. The TRUTH is lost in all the "spinning" people to do twist around the facts. What if God, being all knowing, called everyone out on all their lies? You can put on a smile and lie to other people to justify your actions, but you can't lie to God.
If people suddenly realized that they were going to be accountable for their actions, would they change?

Verizon Phones?
I'm looking to upgrade my cell phone and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions/feedback regarding the currently available verizon phones (www.verizonwireless.com).
I was thinking maybe Motorola Razr but I heard the quality isn't that great. True?
Ok since many of you don't seem to understand how this works, let me explain. When you first purchase the Warcraft game, you create a game account using the individual CD-key that comes with it. Once you open an account, you can create your own characters to play with in game. Over time, as you level up your characters, you collect gear (armor, weapons, etc). Some happen to be more rare than others and require you to group up with as many as 40 people to conquer certain parts of the game.
I've been playing for over a year now and my character happened to be one of the best geared on the entire server, meaning it had pretty much the best stuff you could get at the moment. It's not easy to get the best gear in the game and honestly I was burnt out from always trying to be the first person to get the newest and best item that came out so I decided to sell while I was still ahead of most people in the game. While my friend got $2500 for his account and I only got $1460 for mine, it's hard to compare the two because we both played totally different classes (warrior, rogue, priest, mage, etc). If you go to Ebay, and do a search for "warcraft account", you'll see how much accounts typically go for (only a few hundred dollars). $2500 is an abberation and most will never see that kind of money for their account and even my account sold for way more than normal.
As for who actually buys these accounts? Generally they're older people who are married or have fulltime schedules that do not let them spend the required time in game to collect the best gear. So they find it quicker to just buy an account with characters already geared up.
To give you an analogy, let's say you were a Xanga newcomer and wanted to be instantly "popular" on Xanga. You could pay stillAdick $1500 in exhange for his account (username/password) and essentially "become" stillAdick. It's the same concept here.
