  • Arnold after “Tookie” Williams’ execution.

I’m a personal believer in the notion of an eye for an eye.  Writing childrens’ books doesn’t erase the murder of 4 people.

  • AHAHAHHAHAHHAHAHAAHHAHAHAAHA!!!!!!!!!!

  • i love the picture!

and i have to agree.. writing children’s books which were probably nothing more than a publicity stunt to get him off the death penalty doesn’t make the murders any less heinous.

  • you do realize the common term, ‘eye for an eye’ is taken out of context, right?  im not a believer in capital punishment.  maybe when it comes to war and war crimes, because millions of people could have been effected by whatever crime it was.  but not for individuals and individual causes.

  • The Governator’s GANGSTA!

  • hahahahahahaha agree with you on this one.

  • that’s a funny picture.

  • capital punishment completes a cycle that the perpetrator begins… because there are consequences to our actions.

  • it sure doesnt

  • An eye for an eye?  We can’t take his life 6 times.  Whether he is in prison, or dead the state has already taken his life.  Does his good works absolve him of his crimes?  It’s irrelevant. I don’t think that’s the question we should be asking ourselves.  The real question is:

Would the community benefit more from his life or from his death?

  • Eye for an eye leaves everybody blind. Think the fact he wrote childrens books or found Jesus is irrelevant. The debate is a socital one.

I got no problem with the DP in some cases. Is is lib too. Funny friggin post.

  • yes, he wrote childrens books – TO IMPRESS UPON THE KIDS THAT GANG LIFE IS NOT WORTH IT!!!  and also, he was nominated for a NOBEL PEACE PRIZE while in prison.  c’mon!! those are not the actions of the same man who killed 4 people.  its cheapter to let him stay in prison and maybe even beneficial to society by letting him continue his anti-gang movement.  but no…..we had to spend over 2.5 million dollars to execute him.

    its a sad world.

we are the only civilized country that actually legally murders people on such a regular basis.  its horrifying.

  • I dont believe in the death penalty.  Who are we to condemn someone to die.  I guess thats why we’re humans trying to act like God, and not actually God, who forgives us.  Also, did you know that the witnesses that said that he was the killer in those killings were non reliable sources like his ex-Crip gang members that turned on him bc they were locked up and he wasn’t?

  • just b/c tookie was “nominated” for a nobel peace prize by some lawyers and lawmakers doesn’t mean sh1t, i’m sorry. being nominated and winning a nobel peace prize are two very different things. furthermore, writing children’s books doesn’t redeem him of his previous crimes. did he ever come out and apologize to the families of the victims of his murders? no. did he ever come out and admit his guilt and ask for redemption? no. did he and his lawyers attempt at last minute, desperate tactics claiming he was innocent? yes. if he’s really rehabilitated, he should’ve at least given some respect to the family of his victims and admitted his guilt than to claim he was innocent.

i don’t believe in capital punishment ultimately – not even for tookie, but i hate that people are touting him to be a better man than he really is. if that was my family he killed, i would’ve wanted him to fry. fuck him.

  • the picture is pretty photoshopped… but i guess it’s still funny

  • hahha … nice pic

  • life of a gang member.  no one who doesn’t know.. wouldn’t really understand.  i can’t say i can either.  but there are situations and circumstances far and beyond our reach where one is pushed to do whatever it takes to survive.  two wrongs don’t make a right.  and capital punishment is not right.  but if we don’t enforce harsh consequences for our actions… who will ever listen???

  • too much to say about this… so i’ll keep it to myself.  =)

  • quick thing. the only reason i’m against capital punishment is because the justice system is faulty. i believe in it to a certain extent, however, in Illinois a lot of people who were executed were found to be innocent. some before and some after. how scary is that fact?

  • wtf is he doing there?

  • I am strongly against the death penalty. I don’t believe anyone has the right to take another human being’s life. Only God can do that. It’s totally inhumane and cruel.
